Antonio Menchaca de la Bodega Foundation was created in 1974 by D. Antonio Menchaca Careaga, in his fathers memory, establishing as it aims the fulfilment of social activities for the needy and the development of science, art, culture andthe.The foundation acts basically in the historical territory of Bizkaia, although it can also conducts activities outside this geographical area when deemed appropriate by its board.
Because of the incessant activiting in favour of the needy, the Foundation has been awarded with the Utopia award in 2001, conceded by the Regional Goverment of Bizkaia.
